NOVENBER NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents,

We are now at the end of our first quarter here at school. Report cards will be distributed on Friday, October 28. Report cards do not need to be returned, however we would appreciate the return of the report card envelope so we do not need to issue new envelopes. Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for November 10. Please return your conference appointment forms by Monday. If you cannot attend your appointed time, please call the school office to reschedule the appointment.

I would like to thank everyone for your support of our Fall Auction. I very much appreciate the work of all of our parents, especially the first and eighth grade parents who organized the auction. I would especially like to thank the chairpersons: Amber Gaither, Joely Landreth, Kathleen Lee, and Amy Lippert. We made a profit of approximately $74,000. It was a huge success and will greatly benefit our school.

On Monday, October 31 we will celebrate Halloween with an all - school party at 2:30. Grades 1-4 will bring their costumes to school for the Halloween parade after lunch recess. (Kindergarten and PreK will come to school in costume.)

I want to remind everyone that we always meet at the Abbey for coffee after all Special Liturgies. If you can get away from work for a short while it is a great way to meet other parents and share ideas about the school.

Don't forget about the "Walk-a-Thon" on November 9. Uniforms are not required on this day. We appreciate everyone's help in raising funds for our athletic and physical education department.

This Sunday, October 30 there is an important parish meeting at 3:00 in the school gym. We will be discussing the Bishop's plan for consolidating/reorganizing parishes. Your input is important.

As we end this first quarter, I thank all parents for your cooperation and support of our teachers in helping to provide your children with the best education possible. We continue to teach service, respect, and concern for others through our theme "Faith, Academics, and Service." Thank you for all you do!
